The changeability of weather and life

Autumnal Silver How
What a difference 5 days can make!
A full snow experience climbing Red Screes on Sunday and then an almost autumn-like walk up Silver How today...
Makes me think about how the weather is like our emotions, rolling in and bringing different challenges and pleasures with it.
And how I'm always being told there's no bad weather, only bad choices in clothing!
So ask yourself:
"How do you need to equip yourself differently to deal with the challenging emotional weather you might be dealing with?"
"What metaphorical sturdy jackets or warm scarves can help you get through a tough emotional time?"
"Who can you walk alongside to get moral support and guidance?"
The fleeting nature of emotions
The changeability of the weather also makes me think about how fleeting emotions can be too. When you're in the thick of a difficult time emotionally it feels like it'll never end, that things will never get better.
And then, suddenly just like that, the sun creeps out from behind the clouds and you can see more clearly again. Granted there may still be some misty areas that linger (like over Windermere today), but suddenly there are clearer possibilities and a potential path through.
Plus lots of vitamin D which is ALWAYS a good thing.
